Re: BMW M1 Hommage Concept

Ok Ok guys ... (Thanks for the info update nevertheless)
The territory of BMW people...
Hmm, I have made it too the deep blue sea here, I can see that, I got it!

BMW for me (which is a brand I don't know anything about)
has always been behind almost all other brands when it comes to design..

Truly here also the org. M1 car was "made in" Italy.
Which makes it look like a Lambo wannabe.

BMW has their own unique design language and I respect it and sometimes their attention on exterior design are fabulous.
Interior wise a go cart gets a higher score. IMO

BUT
BMW the best driving machine in the world (they are not far away)
deserves a GOOD LOOKING super/hyper car... The M1H Concept is not..

Mille Miglia & CS is also the Z9 was excellent when it was published.

MIX those three and we see something like the M-Zero,
maybe BMW are not heading that way with their more modern design..
but I do not care too much, I will never buy a BMW of the simple fact as I will never own a Ferrari nor the new GT-R.

To much hard steel and presicion towards perfection.

I like the chubby, "poor" handeling but with a heart and soul as big as the enigne. V12 6.5 suits my needs perfect.

Anyone following me ?
Sometimes me head goes ..

I want to finish with a little sentence..

BMW "we" the people that don't fancy you.. (except the 2 - 6's)
Try out a mixture of "design follows function" & "Pretty cars can also be driven like crazy"!

Aerodynamics are for people who can't build engines... - Enzo Ferrari

BMW M1

M1 Hommage Concept is just a homage - a tribute to the original M1 at its 30th anniversary. Not a design study how a possible BMW supercar may look like. But the styling itself is contemporary so the details like eg. headlights (similar ones were also seen on Mille Miglia concept), rearlights (already seen on CS Concept) etc.

Just like Bangle said at Mille Miglia presentation: "It's like the original car is dreaming how it may look in the future."
Meaning: featuring original shape with conteporary / futuristic styling.

So, M1 Hommage is not a design study about FUTURE supercar. It's a tribute to a PAST supercar, dressed in conteporary / futuristic "clothes".
