Why not ???
7er Gt elegant more luxuries komfort 4 door GT and the 6er GT a 4 door Sportscar fast and dynamic like a panamera .

It's late here and we have just finished in Melbourne's Sound-Tube Tunnel.

I will get Guido to do an update when I get some rest, before heading up to Cairns.
But I have heard there has been a bit of reorganising regarding new products.

The 1er Gran Turismo has been canned in favour of an X2 Sport Activity Coupe with 4drs , a smaller X6 if you like. The GT was proving to be more compact in packaging than we would have liked.

And the 6er GT and 7er GT have been repackaged as 6er CS and 7er CS.
To seperate them from the GT status. But there are another two niche products in a development status.
The 3er GT remains as does more enthusiast focused developments of the outgoing 1er Coupe and M3.

Scott, What are going to be the differences in conception between the 6er CS and 7er CS?.

If BMW aren't careful the public are not going to have a clue what all these niche products are. I'm losing track of what they all are.

No, X4 is supposed to be a Sports Activity Sedan. Check that latest Lagonda concept to see the general idea ...

The consensus in Munich is that with the 5er GT and the 3er GT they seem more progressive than a particular tried and tested Concept.

For the 6er and the 7er the votes now go towards having the CS badge on the rear of the car in the same way the GT insignia is posted on the back of the 5er Gran Turismo.

CS will be aimed at people who want sports cars with more flexibility hence the four door Coupe-Sedan Concept . But the CS philosophy will mirror the GT's with a differenty identity in design and dynamics from the series cars.

The 6er CS will be the first to appear allowing the 6er CS to be positioned as a CLS,A7 and Panamera rival with the 7er CS becoming the flagship of the BMW portfolio and the well documented bridge to Rolls-Royce.

X2 is being fast tracked due to the advance orders of the X1 , like the bigger X6 it will be a four door Coupe style based on the X1's 3er platform , again using the same engine choice although four cylinder turbo petrol engines will be the X2's choice along with the typical diesels.
A performance model is also highly interested although The M Division will not put it's name towards the car , with the idea being more towards a specification like the current 135i Coupe.

The design takes it's cues from the X1 but adds a X6 Coupe style outline , The twin kidneys are more spread out than the condensed X1 grille. air intakes are more shapely and positined at each edge rather than the one piece on the X1. The X1 signature design line is evident but here it boosts the front and rear wheel arches for a wider sporting appeal.
The reason for the X2 is the notciability than downsizing has been occurring in some markets and with the X6 in a particular segment that could be affected in the future , the idea to offer something more approachable and efficient with the same image is desirable.

Guido.

base platform for 6er CS would be new 5er (F10)
7er CS (maybe rename to new 8er) is based on new 7er (F01)

Again why did you cancel the cs at the first place ? And isn't it a bit, let's say bizarre, to not call it GT ?
