Sorry, klier, but you're way wrong with that... Those 2 cars have nothing similar except short rear overhang which is way different and also in that chop it looks 10 times better than that one on Citroen, one of the ugliest rear ends i've ever seen.

The C6 is the first thing I thought of when I saw that side profile. Clearly they are not alike in details, but overall I have to say there are big similarities here.
I agree about the C6 being of of the uglier cars of this planet, obviously.

And in the BMW pic the rear door window can't open, because they forgot to add a third window

The side profile is so reminiscent of the CLS. (frown)

When is the "8er" and the CS due?

(Some of) The upcoming BMWs are really having that "scurry and move effect" I agree!

Re: Preview: 2009 BMW four-door coupe

I'm beginning to confuse myself. I need clarification. Is this a whole new model, or is this what the new 7er will be? Or is this the CS?

Well, this is the production version of the CS which will be called the 8 series.

Does this mean that there will actually be no car in the BMW lineup called CS?

Re: Preview: 2009 BMW four-door coupe

^^I think that is correct Jade.

I was hoping the CS concept would be developed into the full-size 7 series -- it would be the most desirable 4-door car in the world. However, if this is going to be something like the Merc CLS, I am slightly disappointed.

Re: Preview: 2009 BMW four-door coupe

After seeing the CS concept in real life, I don't think the physical dimensions of the car are suitable for a full size 7 series. The roof is just so low that the target customers for the 7 series will complain about it. Also the boot opening is very narrow, those old customers won't be able to get their golf bags into the boot.

The CS does look like a coupe and I think the production version will have to be something like the CLS otherwise the production version won't be faithful to the concept.
