I see all the usual, dedicated BMW fanboys will love anything BMW put out. There isn't a sheer trace of beauty or even harmony with this concept. This has got to be one of the least attractive BMW concepts I've seen in years. The front is awful, way too much nostril going on there and the side profile is dinky, too much front overhang. This thing almost, almost makes Bangle's original 7-Series look very elegant.

Come on Merc. I will tell you if I believe a concept looks like crap... I was never a fan of any of the BMW Concepts because I always thought they looked too exaggerated. But this really strikes me for some reason. Love the rear and side profile. While the front is definitely more in your face and I don't like it as much when you look at it straight on, overall I think it's a really cool concept.

It's just like me saying why anyone would like the Ocean drive concept... but it's just personal taste

Yep you're right it is personal taste. What I don't get here is why the flairing of the nostrils to such a size to dominate the entire face of the car, very un-BMW like IMO.

Oh I know it wasn't me, but when you referred fan boys. Plenty of BMW people don't like it. If you looked at the concept that turned out to be the 6 Series, that grill was pretty huge too but toned down when the real car came out. And this is why it is exciting for me, because everything looks real good right now, and the grill will be toned down (although I don't mind too much how big it is). That's just the new direction BMW is taking.

I'm would usually poo-poo the "Car A looks like Car B" argument, but in this case I'm on the bandwagon. At its core, the reason I dislike the Concept CS is because the front-end looks like the Dodge Demon. Not like it bares a slight resemblance, but that the similarity is glaring.



No, it's not one of those coincidences where a industry-wide trend cuases one car to look like several others. It's one of those coincidences where - from gut reaction - a car is the spitting image of another car.

The first thing I said to myself when the CS popped up on my screen "Dodge." I can't say that about any other BMW I've ever laid eyes on - concept or otherwise.

I really, really hope the front styling of the CS is a wild distortion of what's to come... of course I already stated this about 20 times by now. Starting to sound like a broken record.

And now that I take a 2nd look, that front overhang is pretty dreadful.

People say Im bmw fanboy and as I said in previous post I said I dont like this concept. Im pleased that its only a concept.

BTW I hate it when you put it like that, bmw fanboys are no different from Audi or MB fanboys. We have several MB or Audi fans on this board that like anything their favorite brand release as well. BMW fanboys are no different Marcus.

Ahh...and the guilty (not this time according to them) party steps forward....

Funny thing though both Luw and Artist like this concept and they are hardly in the category "bmw fanboys". Its weird.
