With the restyled A6, will make its debut the new 3.0tdi bluetec twin-turbo: 2 turbos with variable geometry system(So is different from the system adopted on 335/535d). 295 ps, 2250bar of pressure.  Unfortunally will be available only with new tiptronic. P.S. the V8 4.2tdi arrives to 350ps soon. From an italian safe source.  |

| Re: 3.0tdi twin-turbo! Hmm... with tiptronic? I guess just like with BMW 35d, the torque is too much for a manual? A shame... but DSG would be an excellent fit! What are the chances of Audi putting this engine in smaller cars like A4 and A5? |

Correct. Variable twin turbo diesel engines (35d, 23d) feature two sequential turbines of different sizes yet of fixed geometry. While the single turbo diesel engines (20d, 30d ) feature a single turbine with a variable geometry. | |
