There won't be a new A2. The rummored new small Audi will be named A1 (that's a final decision). Production will start in Brussels factory in 2009.

Audi A1 Speedster: First picture!

We found the first picture, although just a CGI, of the yesterday bespoken Audi A1 Speedster.
As a great sidenote we have sources saying that the Audi A1 will be displayed with a hybrid engine at the Tokyo Motor Show! We told you yesterday that the Audi A1 shall be exhibited in Tokyo this year, but the hybrid engine adds some spice to that news.
Be assured that we will cover all the news from the Tokyo Motor Show.

I disagree. IMO the grill looks empty and almost ridiculous without the rings.

Audi A1 to Debut in Tokyo

Less than two weeks ago we disclosed Audi's upcoming premium super mini, the Audi A1 and now thanks to Auto, Motor und Sport we can report that the Audi A1 will make its debut at the Tokyo Motor Show in October as a hybrid model. Earlier reports suggested that Audi would release the A1 at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

The A1 prices are expected to start at below 20,000 euros ($27,000) and annual sales targets are set at 80,000 - 100,000 units. Michael Dick, responsible for Technical Development at Audi, insisted that the A1 will be "manlier and sportier" than BMW's MINI, adding that "When a father sits gladly in his daughter's car, then we've got it spot on."

I absolutley love this car,looks way better than the mini which is very feminine,old and dated now IMO.I mean most people can't tell the diff between the new and old model!
Now i need this car to have quattro and be priced well and i'll for sure buy one!
