Appreciate the answers guys
Some of my favourite albums:
Rush - Moving Pictures
This was the album that got me into Rush and it's no suprise either. I'd say it's the best album Rush has ever made, and especially as it featured four radio hits. Although the album only featured a total of seven songs, each and everyone them is memorable. In 1981
Tom Sawyer, Red Barchetta, LimeLight and
YYZ all enjoyed maxinum radio play time, while
YYZ was nominated for best instrumental but lost to The Police. Aside from those brilliant hits, Moving Pictures also featured the edgy
Witch Hunt, the first of a series of songs about control, power and fear.
The Camera Eye looked at Rush's struggle to become to famous with powerful lyrics and instrumentals. Lastly,
Vital Signs showed us a sneak peak off
Signals (Rush's next album)
It's an album I never get tired of listening to
Radio hits: YYZ; Tom Saywer, Red Barchtta, Limelight Dire Straits - Dire Straits
Highly under-rated album in my opinion. Even with only one radio hit, Dire Straits featured
Down to the Waterline,
Six Blade Knife and the intoxicating
Southbound Again Radio hits: Sultans of Swing Rush - Signals
The following CD to Moving Pictures, Signals, was also an amazing album. Overall a much different approach of music style for Rush, the album focused mostly on synthesizers. This album included the follow up to
Witch Hunt: The Weapon and featured two radio hits.
Radio hits: New World Man; Subdivisions U2 - Joshua tree
U2's best album in my opinion. Eleven songs of pure brilliance, including
Bullet the Blue Sky, With or Without you and Where the Streets Have no Name Radio hits: Where the Streets Have no Name; I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For; With or Without You
