I know, I know, I have made quite a few threads much like this one before. However, this time I wanted to make a thread that's on going with updated information on latest CD's and top picks by members. Music is a crucial element to life, so any way we can help expand one anothers musical horizons would be great.
Keane - "Under the Iron Sea" - I kind of expected this CD to sound much like their debut alblum but in actuality it sounds quite different. "Is it any wonder" has a nice up tempo beat to it, I especially like the fusion of electronic instruments with guitar and drum playing. The latter elements are traced all throughout the entire CD and cause for great effect on the ears. If you like soft rock that sound inventive, this is it. A little modern day Tears for Fears anyone??? Not exactly, but in spirit.
Pharell - "In My Mind" - Music Production wizzes Pharell Williams and Chad Hugo have done it again, but this time for Pharells first ever solo project. The left and right hit makers have produced an alblum bathed with inventive sound, so tyoical of the production duo that always seem to reinvent their sound in a subtle but effective way. Lyrical content leaves wanting for more, as Pharell laces R&B tracks with cheesy lyrics that do little to draw the listner in, and wannabe gangsta raps with suggestive not entirely believeable lyrics. But with his coolness and originality in character, as well as the crazy 31st century beats, it works. Best tracks: "Number 1", "Angel", "Stay with Me", "That girl", "Keep it Playa".

The Best albums i have come across this autum are the following:
Chritina aguilera - back to basics: This must be my favorite album at present time. I haven' listened to her previous one but Back to Basics is a master piece. Her voice is so perfect, the songs are personal and have come straight front her heart. Lots of soul and blues. The Album is harmony and I'm even thinking about buying the actual disc so that i can listen to her voice in full quality. It is a very deep and passionate album which almost makes you want to cry.
Best songs: Still dirty, The Right man, back in the days, oh mother and FUSS
Nelly furtado - Loose: This must be the biggest suprise this year. I actually listen to every album which is recommended by my friends. Since I enjoy listening to music while at work I downloaded The Abum loose. Suprisingly Nelly furtado has transformed completly and is no longer an innocet pop singer.
Truthfully speaking her voice really isn't that spectacular but thanks to the top producer Timberland, her Album has turned out to be a great one. Having timberland as a producer you really can't fail, just ask justin timerlake, missy elliot and Aliyaah. There are like 6-7 hit songs on the album. If enjoy listening to R&B Loose is certainly an album for you.
Best songs: Do it, showtime, Afraid and Wait for you
Other albums I have listened to the Autum is Beyonce, Outkast and justin timberlake's latest. The albums don't suck but unfortunately I didn't like them that much.

I'm especially excited about The Games new CD, West Coast gangsta rap has made a big come back thanks to him and Snoop. I have "The Documentary", one damm good CD that never gets old but only gets better w/ time. The Doc is number one in my book, I bought the original 'Chronic" When I was like only 6 years old on casette, damm was that one of my favorite CD's. His new alblum will be "the sh*t", literally. For those of you wanting some good ol' West Coast gangsta rap to reflect on, dl or listen to "Today was a Good day" by Ice Cube, one of the best songs EVER made!!!
Deutsch, do you have Keane's - "Under the Iron Sea"? I've seen it in cd shop but didn't really pay attention! Is it good? What kind of music do they play?

weird. i just uploaded those exact two cd's to my ipod yesterday. havn't got around to listen to keane yet, but "in my mind" is a pretty good cd. however, i find pharrell's rap lyrics to be a little weak in some of his solo songs.
