I don't understand the point of this special edition. It isn't special enough. Those owners can easily modify their car to look exactly like that.

Well this is actually VAG's strategy..

Just take the Passat, todays model saw the light in 2005'
and since then it has sold a massive amount of cars, pr. today
2009 it's not even slightly fun to buy a Passat because,
your neighbour, and your boss at work, even your mom has the new Passat,
and when you go to the mall and comes outside after 30 min to find your car
in the parking lot, you don't stand a chance cause
there is 30 cars "just like yours". Butof course deep inside you want the car
cause it's great family transportation.

That's why Passat now comes as standard with
the R-line styling pack. It's the same car, same engine, same same same,
but it has R-badges, the whole car is painted, it has a R-Steeringwheel ++
small but noticeable features. and that is enough, with your Passat now
you are the only one with that special one.

So since Murcielago has been around from 2003 it has to be made
special on speical on special edtions, you see them on Bentleys and RR too.
