Yes it is a Murcielago but with a new exterior...
I think it is different enough, and so radical and aggressive that you don't immediately see what it is, and the differences are quite obvbious even if the proportions are the same.
But all these details, GI-Joe-like air intakes, wheels with carbon add, crazy rear, makes you see immediately that you face something really special (even if it isn't, same technic than the Murcielago).
The Veyron is more familiar, you see it on the TV, on the pics, on the tests.
If parked alone, or with most anoter supercar it will focus all the attention, of course (the famous most powerfuul car in the world, 400km/h, and spectacular look).
But compared to that car that it think it pales, and does not feel so special and exclusive any more. Because the Reventon is so strange and mad-looking. | | | | | GCZ's High Court

And no uniqueness, but rather riced out and overpriced Lambo that it's not worth 1/3 of that price. | | | | | Expert

It's not that I don't like it. I think it looks great, the design isn't a problem, the price is. The car is simply over priced. I can take an LP640 to Xzibit and turn it into a Reventon for less than the 740 000 euro price difference between the two cars. 500 000 euro would IMO have been a more reasonable price.
On the other hand this is a Lambo I could see myself paying 1 000 000 euro for: | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to Centurion For This Useful Post: | | | Fanatic

The price is really not a problem, in this world. I don't think the clients have said anything about the price of the Reventon.
If I saw the two, I would first look at the Reventon.

The dashboard is off the scale. Too bad the engine doesn't have a sound resembling a place or a washing machine. Best looking dashboard I've seen in years though. | | | | | Enthusiast

For my 1+Mn Euros I would take a Veyron, and not give the Reveton a second look. For one, the Bugatti is still more goodlooking and far brawnier than the Reventon, and looks all of one million and change in any currency you decide. A Zonda, at less than half the price of Reveton, looks far more intriguing, while outperforming the heck out of it, and perhaps being even more bespoke in materials and uniqueness. Sorry, some cool electronic hraphics in the instrument cluster do not a million dollar car make. The car is not significantly lighter or powerful than the regular version. All this car amounts to is a Murcielago Superleggera, in my humble opinion. 500,000 Euros is what it should cost.
Only in a world where a Mercedes SLR costs close to $500K would Lamborghini get the nerve to ask a million and change for a car like this. | | | | | Enthusiast

sorry mate, but Zonda is just another "different" car comparing with evil Reventon, and I am not talking about the money cause money is absolutely irrelavant on this subject | | | | | Fanatic

I don't like the look of the Zonda.
And I prefer the wonderful noise of the Lambo than the V8ish bass burble of the Bugatti.
And honestly, for a normal driver, 650 or 1000hp, what a difference?
This is a car to be seen into, unique and very rare, and that exclusivity males its price. Keep in mind that the clients already have at least 2 or 3 other supercars, and buy it because it is so exclusive. Price does not have any importance for such people...
When your neighbour at the right has a Bugatti, at the left a SLR and a Zonda, and your best friend a CGT, here you come with something that they don't have and will never have. It is the only way to make your friends jealous!! And it has no price... | | | | | Contributor

BEST IN SHOW: LAMBORGHINI REVENTÓN
This car looks like a million bucks—er, euros—and for good reason. Lamborghini has put a $1.36 million price tag on the latest supercar from Sant’Agata. Just 20 of these babies will be built, and while it’s a new design—well, sort of a new design—fans of older Lambos see lots of historic lines, such as, say, from the Miura, in the Reventón (“A New Breed of Bull,” AW, Sept. 17). And the cynics among us say it’s nothing more than a rebodied, tarted-up Murciélago. Whatever. The cramped show stand, harsh lighting and flat gray paint make the car difficult to appreciate in photographs, but trust us, it’s a stunner. It’s a car all the boys, young and old, will want—at least in poster form. The 6.5-liter V12 makes 650 hp routed through all-wheel drive. It will pin your eyelids back with an astonishing romp from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.4 seconds. And along with the price, that’s the kind of super that makes us certain we’ll remember this car for years to come. - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER
