Basically the critics killed the show before it started showing. They were saying watching it will be a waste of time. As a result not a lot of people tune in when the show was on, so channel 9 decided to pull it off air

Recently bought Season 1 on DVD, and watched it all in two days, really screwed me over in school work Have downloaded the first five of season two as well.
Really love this show, it's awesome, I'm a history nut too, so it makes it even better.

Well ROME kind of has problems with HISTORY. But the sex, violence and (lack of) (christian) moral some criticised is adequate.
