Even more reason to dislike Volvo.. took my car in for an oil change, and I kid you not, every freak'n time I take my damn car in for servicing something always goes missing or broken thanks to the tools in the service dept. THIS IS THE LAST TIME my car goes to my local Volvo dealer, I'm going independent from here on out, plus I'm almost @ 100k. Man it sucks I'm stuck in this thing for the next several years... can't wait til I'm in a position to buy a new car on my own. NEVER VOLVO, EVER EVER AGAIN. I know, I know, I should sound more greatful, but for a first car I wasn't given much of a choice at all... so this is what I got and I'm stuck... besides, Volvo is no car for real car enthusiasts.

my father owns a 5year Old S40 T4 and a 2006 S60 F/L, and has no problems with either cars(though the S60 Fuel Flap refused 2 open Once and had it sent 2 the dealer: 2hr Job) and he just loves the cruising capabilities of both and i dont think he would buy any other make than a Volvo..

I dont think i would buy a volvo sedan, but i think the new C30 Hatch is a bomb, damn what a car...

Btw: i think volvos are way reliable than merc, which gives u lots of piece of mind on long journeys, and that comes from a True Merc Enthusiast...

My image of Volvo has been shattered ever since my aunt got a XC90 last year.

Other than it being confortable... the car is underpowered, under equipped, sucks gas like a mofo (17.5 L/100 mostly highway driving?!), sub par interior quality, zero driving dynamics, and a shitty AWD system that makes the car less stable in crazy snow that my RWD 325i. Plus she had several reliability issues. Considering the car costs only sligthly less than an X5/ML, it's a total POS in my eyes.

Anyhow, that's my rant. Volvo is "what happens when Ford messes with a company"... same for Jag. Thank the lord they sold Aston Martin.

btw: 2006 south africa car of the year was the S40!!

I THINK u being 2 hard on Volvo, its there 1st entry in 4x4, look at the previous ML, was also a disaster, just hoping Volvo wake up...
