It's not post communism plastic box, they just took their inspiration from the original Trabant and created a unique and retro design. Same case with MINI! The only connection to the old Trabby is the design and the name!

And as we have seen many times, it's far more economical to revive an old brand than create a new one, when you want to launch a new product!

Why not to revive e.g. NSU or Triumph, that would make a sense, these cars have a history not that communist crap and soon will see Wartburg or Moskwicz to be revive.

The brand certainly has a "crap" feel to it to most westerners, but there are many people back east that still romanticize about the bad old days... could they be the target?

The Trabby is an icon in Eastern Europe now. You see many of them in Berlin for instance, they are in and cool. Looks very cute.
Funny thing is, these are short cars, but the smoke cloud coming out of the exhaust is longer than the car itself...

This nT doesn't look too good though, I'm not really diggin'it. Looks a bit plain, a bit Mini-like (A-pillars), kinda not cute enough. Not really interesting.

The original looks way nicer. I rather like the Trabby.

Right. 500 or 600cc² two-strokes bicylinder engine; around 20hp. But a surprisingly powerful smoke-production.

The manufacturer Herpa is involved with the German manufacturers BMW - X1 , Mercedes-Benz -SLS AMG , and Audi R8 Spyder and the A5 Sportback. Plus they have contributed to the development and production of nearly every BMW model and many Mercedes-Benz and Audi models of late.

klier has disabled reputation
The front of this car seems very unlikely to pass the EU pedestrian safety regulations...
