If only they improved the interior finish and quality and the crappy automatic gearbox. Same case as Aston Martin. Beautiful cars, but quality and gearboxed could be a lot better... | | | | | Contributor

I thought all the transmission issues were fixed when the installed the ZF automatic that BMW, Jaguar and others use?

But I agree, interior quality needs improvement still. But it's somewhere there already, considering that it's almost entirely handmade. | | | | | Aficionado

I didn't know about the gearbox. I was stuck with the old one. Anyway, about the interior, i know it's handmade, but still needs improvement as you said. I remember some pics you posted when you got the car, showing some big gaps between the leather and the trim on the inner side of the doors. | | | | | Junior Member

A truly beautiful and iconic car. But re the build quality and resale value issues, I don't have a sense that it's a well build and dependable beast. That so? It's a four door sedan after all. At these prices, beauty needs to be far more than skin deep. | | | | | Contributor

The interior is indeed handmade, and it felt it!!!!!!!!! The quality is atrocious. The leather is nice and soft. But the leather stains (even from jeans), creases, and fades easily. That is a problem with all Italian leather. | | | | | Contributor

I'm amazed with the comments about the quality of Maserati's interiors. I guess they haven't completed gotten rid of all old world "character" yet. I'd still have one though, but not as a daily driver.

That's probably the best designed front end in the segment. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
