Ok, so here are my impressions:
I've been following Wiesmann for a couple of years now. Needless to say they're an interesting company and one that I very much respect. They don't make junk; they make quality products which are not only exciting to look at, but apparently, to drive (no personal experience I'm afraid, so I'll have to rely on press reactions).
The MF3 was the first of their vehicles which I had great appreciation for and when the MF4 came out, I nearly died. So I suppose it's suffice to say that I've been eagerly awaiting the release of a 10-Cylinder MF.
As for the MF5:
Evidently, Wiesmann's reworking of the front-facia (headlamps and what-not) and rear-end (funky spoiler) have left the quirky and almost English-like MF4 looking far more sinister than it has every before; whereas the MF4 was about exquisite detailing, the MF5 make no apologies looking like it just stepped out of the racing department. Still, if I may be honest, it may be a little
too over the top. I wasn't expecting such a great deal of change to the the MF4's already gorgeous bodywork.
Nevertheless, I can't say that I dislike it. It's pretty rockin' - move over Corvette Z06
I'd
really like to see a different colour though, but I imagine I'll have to wait a little while for that.
The question that remains answering is what type of transmission will the MF5 have? Will it been paired with SMG, or will it feature a conventional 6-speed? I'd like to imagine both... Do take note that with the MF3, Wiesmann allows the car to be ordered with either a 5 or 6 speed 'box, or the E46 M3's SMG transmission.
Once again, awesome machine and props BMW for allowing Wiesmann that spectacular V10.
