Bad Translation This Pagani which resembles as two water drops any other Pagani is not Zonda, the single model marketed since the birth of the Italian mark. It acts indeed of a mule preceding future C9, waited the next year, and which will make it possible to the craftsman to extend his marketing, in particular in the United States. We learned it around the Living room from Geneva, Pagani will remain faithful to Mercedes AMG for the supply of its motorization. On the other hand, there are few chances to find V12 under the cap of future C9. It will undoubtedly be necessary henceforth to take into account V8. It was question of that of McLaren SLR, V8 with compressor. I would bet more readily on the future V8 biturbo than Mercedes AMG is undoubtedly developing and which should make the happiness of future the supercar mark with star, the SLC. | | | | | Aficionado

Video of the Pagani V8
The massive V12 which can be found in the Zonda won’t be produced for a very long time anymore. This means that mister Pagani had to find an other engine to power his beast. He must have thought a new engine why not a totally new car. The new model is being developed right now, under codename C9, this car will get a smaller lighter engine, a V8 to be precise. On the internet a videofragment appeared where you can hear the V8.
The first thing that you’ll probably notice is the, less brutal sound of the V8. A lot quieter he goes around the track. But Pagani lovers will probably not be disappointed by this wonderful brand. According to a lot of people a good option for the V8 is the engine from the SLR. This engine also won’t be produced for a long time anymore. We will just have to wait and see what the final engine will be in this car. I absolutely love how the entire world believes to what Autoblog.com posted once.
Love how the entire world gives credit to the impressions and the feelings of the author of that post.
So i watch it... Smiling.
A guy on another forum says I don't understand anything about supercars.
Someone else claimed to be the Pagani fan #1.
Another one wants to make an online register.
And everyone of them says the new C9 will feature an AMG V8 engine.
The only thing i can say is:

Next Zonda packs even bigger punch
Here are great new pictures of the scorching Pagani Zonda replacement. We spotted the Italian supercar as it took a breather from testing.
As you can see, it is an evolution of the existing car, which is nearly nine years old. At the front, soft curves replace sharp creases, while a wider grille has been fitted to aid cooling and improve the looks.
These changes to the bodywork should also improve aerodynamics, with greater high-speed stability and refinement the main benefits.
The cabin structure and glass area have been carried over from the current car, and the interior has received only minor changes, keeping the same mix of hand-stitched soft leather and bespoke aluminium controls and trim. But the big news is at the rear. Look closely and you’ll spot two gaping air scoops on top of the rear wings, together with a single duct on the engine cover.
These additions hint at a new powerplant instead of the current 547bhp 7.3 V12 supplied by AMG, Mercedes’ tuning arm. Heading the shortlist to replace it is the supercharged 5.4-litre V8 unit from the McLaren SLR, which produces up to 680bhp in the 722 GT version.
Combine that with the Pagani’s lightweight carbon fibre construction, and performance is sure to be blistering. The 0-60mph sprint is likely to dip below three seconds, and top speed should be comfortably beyond 200mph.
Although no launch date has been set for the new Zonda, the first showroom-ready examples are due in dealerships early next year. autoexpress | | | | | Enthusiast

I personally think the chances of the now antiquated Mercedes-AMG supercharged V8 engine finding its way into the forthcoming Pagani C9 is next to zero. I detail the rationale of my speculation below:
1) The AMG supercharged three-valve V8 engine may have charm and torque in abundance but it is now old technology and well passed its used-by date in terms of size/packaging, fuel economy, and emissions.
2) Horacio Pagani told the UK car magazine EVO two years ago that the next Pagani (the C9) would use a Mercedes V12 engine. There have been no news or rumours that Mercedes-AMG has stopped development of the V12 engine in the past 24 months. But the focus over the past 24 months has been on the new 6.2 litre V8 engine and its turbocharged derivatives in the pipeline.
3) Also, recent shots of the Pagani testing mule is no smaller in size than the current Zonda and that would suggest to me that there is a V12 engine in the testing mule. A weight-obsessed engineer such as Horacio Pagani would no doubt engineer the C9 to be shorter, smaller, and lighter if it uses a smaller V8 engine.
4) The two close up pictures that you see of the Pagani C9 testing mule in the carpark was actually a C9 mule being hot-weather tested by AMG engineers in Arizona. Compared to the current Zonda, the testing mule has much bigger air intakes for the radiators in the front and also big Ferrari F430-inspired air intakes in the rear for the engine. All these point to a BIG engine in the mule. A V8 would need less number and smaller air intakes.
5) If the Pagani C9 is going to use a V8 engine, I think the prime candidate will be the current 6.2L V8 with turbochargers.
Furthermore, a V8 engine will demote the C9 to the class of the Audi R8, Lamborghini LP560-4, and Ferrari F430 in the image stakes. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to Wunderkind For This Useful Post: | | | Expert
