As much as it pains me to say this, because I was always under the impression that FIATs were rubbish... they're well made.
I took a trip to Italy with my international marketing class, and we were given a tour of the Punto/Grande Punto plant in Torino, and the cars are very well put together. It was really cool to see all the steps of the assembly line, and all the workers seemed to take pride in what they do. We were even given little Punto die-casts in 1/43rd scale. We also were shown the FIAT motors museum. Here are some pics:
