![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | A $100,000 Hyundai ![]() All-new 2010 Hyundai Equus is the most technologically advanced car ever to be produced in South Korea. In addition it is going to be the most expensive car Hyundai has ever produced. Top of the range Hyundai Equus, with a new 5.0-liter V8 will cost Won 130,000,000 or $96,000 on the South Korean market. At first the Equus will be offered with a 3.8-liter Lambda V6 and 4.6-liter Tau V8 engines. Later on a 420 plus horsepower 5.0-liter V8 engine will be offered. That engine will take this big Korean limousine from 0-62 mph(0-100 km/h) in less than 6 seconds. Compared to the current Equus, the new model will grow in size. Length is 5160 mm, width is 1900 mm, height is 1495 mm and the wheelbase is 3045 mm. Some of the features available on the 2010 Hundai Equus are Pre-Safe seatbelts, LED lights, Vehicle Stability Management System, Lane Departure Warning System and the new in house developed 8-speed automatic gearbox. We have no doubt that the Equus will sell with that price in its home market, but have doubts about U.S. and Europe. So far we don’t even know will it be sold in these markets. Expect more to come later on.
