In February, there was a guy going around the paddock at Sebring during the HSR race handing out postcards for a C11 for auction. I have seen the car vintage race at places like Daytona. It looked like a bank repo. I went to the website for the auction and a restraining order had been put on the car pending a hearing of some kind.

I think the only ones worth the "big" (meaning huge) bucks are the C9's becasue of their LeMans history, and the 91 C291 because Schumacher drove it. I will be posting pics of a Schumacher Bennetton F1 for sale I saw last weekend at Road Atlanta.

I think Metro Motors was maintaining it then. They have an insane Lola Judd V10 coupe for sale now. The thing screams (it should since it is an F1 engine)

802hp from a 4.9liter V8, thats incredible! makes me wonder why the Bugatti
Veyron needs 8 more cylinders and two turbo chargers to get just 200hp more.

Because the Sauber engine is engineered to be rebuilt after every race, and the Veyron engine probably goes many thousand of miles before any service, never mind a rebuild.

I figured someone would say that, Still MB has a supposed 707hp Bi-Turbo
V8 in the wings for the production SLR. That means the Veyron has a 300hp
advantage, still not enough to justify 8 more cylinders and 2 more turbos.

I`ll bet it won`t be too long before MB passes the hp figure this Sauber C9
possesses the way thing are going.

707 bhp from a 6.3 biturbo is not that impressive any more (112 bhp/liter with forced induction) Porsche and Honda can get 115-120 bhp liter in a NA engine. I don't know the displacement of the Veyron. There are diminishing returns as hp gets really high. Look at the road test of the tuner cars vs. the stock z06 in Motor Trend. 1100 hp was not much of an advantage over the z06 505hp.
BTW BMW got 1500 hp out of their 1.5 liter turbo F1 engine

Actually the M157 Bi-turbo is supposed to be a 6.0liter V8.
