![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | If you plan on selling whatever car you buy for the next E, then I agree with Far2000. The C63 will hold it's value more than the current E simply because everyone and their moms will be trying to get the new E AMG.

![]() ![]() | hi firstly i would like to say a big thank you to everybody for the help and input into the thread. How awesome it is when you want to buy a car you have somany people intrested in helping you or advising you its just awesome. Well regarding the car i must say i am even more confused after reading the different post. well rite now i am tilted towards the two amg's unless i can get a bargain deal on a cls 500. I think my final decission will be made on how good a deal i can get on either off the three cars i am looking for. Also as many have told me the e is the oldest and will be even older next year with the new e amg.The cls is also towards the end off its awesome cycle what a car the cls is still looks stunning everytime i see it.So at the moment i am hanging towards a c63 depending on how good a deal if i can pick up a c63 aroun 25 percent less then a new one in a 08 year model i think i will go for that car the new was 725 thousand in jan now 775 so if ican get one around 560 to 580 in good condition do you guys agree i should take it.... |

![]() As for the situation. Well if you can get 25% off the C63 sticker price, I'd say it's a pretty damn good deal. Of course, I don't know the situation in SA, so someone else (Martin) would offer a better opinion.

![]() ![]() | Ok thanks matimbo yes i can afford it and reason i am taking a amg now is due to the lower fuel prices i can enjoy it now. What happens is when the fuel prices are very high even if you can afford it you feel hey its going to cost toomuch. As per serviving the motorplan will cover that and the tires i shouldnt have a problem becuase i am past that stage where i just want to burn rubber every time i take off .Yes when its new i will probably do ita few times but not in general usage.I really would love a cls 63 but i think they quite a bit pricey i no some dont like the cls but to me its a truley specail car both outside and inside i saw one yesterday in silver and it still lokks so fresh and new the cls in my view will be a classic mercedes... |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Ja, CLS 63's are just so special. And yes, pricey! If you had the means and got hold of a pristine used example there's just no way you could go wrong. C63's are harder, more edgy than other Mercs. And whilst they've got stupendous straightline performance, day to day livability on our bad roads is questionable. I think a brilliant compromise would be a CLS 500 - big, effortless and smooth V8 in a classic bodyshell that's so much rarer than an E or a C-Class. Comfy yet sporty ride in a machine whose elegant lines have held up surprisingly well with time - who would've thought (I didn't). The CLS has aged well and there's still a while to come before we see it in SA. So your car will look fresh and elegant for many years to come.
