***Awesome Day in Munich Mercedes Style (Part I)***

Was in Munich yesterday. Some new shots of the gigantic Mercedes-Benz showroom!

Some of the shots are of rather poor quality as I was alternating between different ISO settings depending on the lighting conditions. For good results you also need to play around with the exposure settings (generally a negative value) but I got lazy! Sorry!!! I also hate using flash in such situations because it does more harm than good IMO. I did my best to patch up the shots in photoshop.

McLaren Mercedes SLR and SLR Cabrio and a Maybach 57S. This section was off limits to non-serious customers.

1949 Mercedes-Benz 170S, one of only 830 built until 1952. It was powered by a pre-war designed 1767cc 4-cylinder engine that made 52-horsepower. Top speed was 122 km/h and the car returned a then favorable 12 L / 100 km in terms of gas mileage.

1951 Mercedes-Benz 220 Cabriolet Typ "A", one of 2,274 built until 1954. Under the elegant bonnet was a 6-cylinder engine displacing 2195cc and producing 80-horsepower. The car could reach 140 km/h and needed "only" 10.9 liters of gasoline for 100 km, an extremely efficient achievement for a luxury sedan in those days.

1952 Mercedes-Benz Typ 300S Roadster. This is an extremely rare and expensive car. Only 141 were made from 1952 until 1955: all by hand. The 2996cc engine under the hood is the carburated version of the 300SL Gullwing 6-cylinder making 150-horsepower here.

The original ADAC Awards Mercedes-Benz received for:

-Brand (2005)
-Innovation (2006)
-Brand (2007)
-Favorite Car (2007)
-Brand (2008)

AMG Time!

SLK55 & CLS63 AMG

E63 AMG T-Modell

Two ML63 AMG's, an S63 AMG and a C350 with the AMG sport package.

CLS63 AMG with graphite on the mirros and underside of te front bumpers flanking an SL55 AMG (with SL65 AMG body kit) and another E63 AMG T-Modell.

An older customer checking out the CLS63 AMG. I ventured a bit close to hear what was going on. I really got the impression that this senior citizen wanted this performance machine!

The gorgeous E63 AMG T-Modell. Give me this over the sedan anyday!

SL55 AMG's

Random shots to give you an idea of the size of this place!

End of Part I

Re: ***Awesome Day in Munich Mercedes Style (Part I)***

Great photos thx.

I was also in a similar dealer when I visited the Mercedes Museum in Stuttgart - I think it is very close to the museum and the factory itself - it was also big like a shopping mall but just for Mercedes - Benz.

If you have the money in your pocket - these are the places you go to - you will find whatever you want right here, no waiting time, just pay and drive away - there is like no missing model in places like this - whatever you want as long as you have the cash

Thanks for the great pictures wimmer!
How do you show yourself as a serious customer if you want to go in to the section, it would be a bit rude if they ask to see your bank statement wouldn't it?

Excellent pics Mr. Wimmer! I do have one question.. Are these dealers that you go to owned by Mercedes? I'm not quite sure how the dealer system workes over-seas!? Can someone clarify for me?

You mean the CLS 63 AMG?!! It's not graphite - it is the CLS with Carbon package. The "graphite" are parts in carbon!!

Yeah and it is decisive. Thse carbon mirrors must save at least 15g each, and with the 10g of carbon fiber on the bumpers, you save a total of 40g with this package, that surely cost 5,000€....Image the benefit of this seriously lightened CLS the 0-100km/h...

Re: ***Awesome Day in Munich Mercedes Style (Part I)***

Wow. The most delicious looking showroom full of cars in the world, only Mercedes-Benz. I would go nuts in a showroom that size. MBUSA nees to really open up options book so we can have some of the special AMG items.
