All German carmakers have ugly wheels / hubcaps for their base models, even on the luxury models.

Those rims don't belong on an S-class regardless of trim, model or weather conditions. This is basically a case of "What were they thinking??"

The "Toliman" wheels are also available for the E-Class W211.

Remember the W220 was developed when MB was under Jürgen Schrempp's control...

This man was an absolute disaster. The worst thing that ever happened to MB. He saw Benz as a cash-machine, and made a big scratch in Benze's image of quality and reliability...

WOW! You must be the first person I know, who prefers the Toliman wheels (silver S-Class) to the Carmenta wheels (red S-Class). The Carmenta wheels suit the W220 pretty well IMO.

These are the most stupid wheels I've ever seen: alloy looking as bad as steel... Audi had the same, on A3, A6 and A8...

Very true.

They look OK on the A3 and even the A4, but they look ridiculously small on the A6.
