Those of you looking to make the mid-week workday go a little quicker will be delighted to hear that Mercedes AMG has launched yet another online game for your playing enjoyment. This one, titled "The Launch," tests your reaction time off the line, and despite its simplistic nature, is still rather addicting.

Here's how it works. Your spacebar controls the brakes; the up arrow is the throttle. Hold the brakes while finding the ideal engine speed, and when the light turns green, release the brakes.

Easy peasy.

Of course, the part that leads to the addiction is the ranking at the end, which shows how well (or how poorly) you performed compared to the others who've played. I ranked 71st out of 5509 with a reaction time of 0.032 seconds, so you now have a goal to aspire to.

I was playing it yesterday, my highest rank was 6th out of 2700, reaction time of 0.007, but my launch stuffed up a little. so my total time was 4.527.

this was by best earlier today,someone has gone better.looks like i'll have to go out again

and I still dont understand what I shall do....

I'm stuck at "How to play" Will give it a try later on my other computer.

Shall I max the revs and just focus on minimising my reaction speed or what's the strategy?

well i tried again and got here.will try again later.

Launch the car at half the max rev, that should get your travel time down to 4.5 sec. Don't think it is possible to go faster than 4.5sec. After you have master the launch, trim your reaction time.

press spacebar and increase the rpm on the tacho with the up arrow key(modulate the rpm with the up arrow key).leave both the keys when the lights turn green.

try refreshing the page.

keep the rpm in the middle of the tacho,that will get you the best time to checkpoint of 4.5 secs which i think is the minimum possible,rest all depends on your reaction time.
