These rims and orange lights make it look worse than it is!!

I actually think thats a good pic but yes the car could do without the orange lights and different rims.

The S looks very small in that photo. Sometimes pics can be deceiving.

The orange lights will stay...it's the law.

It looks to me like that trunk antenna is not temporary pending integration with the one on the roof as rumored. Even on the S600 it looks like it has been given design concerns and looks pretty permanent. I for one find it "nuts" to put the satelite antenna on the trunk lid! Don't tell me the engineers could not find a better solution for that antenna...it looks terrible!

I can understand why they had to do that on the W220...but not on a new from the bottom up design.

I thought this was just on the pre-production cars making the rounds at the dealers and autoshows? Have you now heard something different?

No I have not heard anything official. But you would think that for the auto show they would have the cars shown without that ugly fin on the trunk like the pictures posted in the press release. Perhaps it will disappear...I certainly hope so.

First of all, it's a not a "stupid" law. It's a SAFETY law. I'm tired of some of our fellow members (especially European members) b**ching about them. Do you see us complaining about why some of you drive on the left side of the road ?

Back on topic:

Jack, I really like where they placed the SIRUS antenna. It doesn’t look all that bad to me, but I know where you coming from. Maybe it has a better reception where it is
