German Car Zone

Well, BMW has one so I thought Mercedes should have one lolz.

So can anyone think of whats going to be coming this year? All this isnt confirmed, just what me thinks: (shall I make this a sticky?)

A class - Dont think anyting new will be coming as recently launched
B class - Newly launched so again nothing
C class - New one arrives 2007
CL class - To be unveiled at Geneva and available before the 2006 world cup
CLK class - New one arrives 2008? 09?
E class - Latest news saying F/L around June
GL class - America spring? Europe end 2006?
M class - only the AMG to come, summer 2006?
R class - already out in america and europe. Finally arriving UK in April
S class - Already out in europe. March arrival for UK. Same for U.S.?
SL class - Facelift to be shown at Geneva?
SLK class - recently launched so nothing new coming yet I guess
X class - Is mercedes still bringing this one out? 2008? 09?

So E class and SL facelift and Geneva showstopper CL for 2006. Obviously a few ferociously fast AMG's will be coming along too (and engine upgrades)

Thats pretty much whats happening for 2006. All the old SOHC, 3-valve V8s are going to be replaced too. All of the "500" models in the U.S. should become "550" models during the next 6-7 months. The of course all the SC AMG V8s are going to be replaced during this time too. Lots of engine changes and some facelifts along with the new CL. That new C-Class is going to be very important. The new S goes on sale here in the U.S. in Feb.

There are two press releases I'm most looking forward too. The one with that first official picture of the CL and the one detailing the E-Class FL with the "E550" details.

The only thing I'm not clear on is whether or not there will be "450" versions of the E,ML,R,CLK, and CLS.

All the MB Technicians are going to be busy getting up to speed on all the new technology and engines, but great to hear of all the upgrades!!

I heard the X class (or MLK?) is coming in less than 2 years from now so i would say mid 2007.

Its supposed to be based on the next C so it will definately come after the C class probably end 07 or sometime 08..

C class the most exciting of the lot. Too bad we'll have to wait another year

Yea I don't know if they are going to replace the old 5 liter V8s in all of the models with the 550 or the 450? That's what's confusing. Maybe they are going to keep the 550 for the S class only? Kind of like what they did with the E430 not too long ago?

That sucks...Tupac's line picture me rolli'n in my 500 hundred Benz is gonna be irrelevant now...
