1974 Mercedes-Benz LP 1513 Heizöl-Tankwagen
In 1965 Mercedes-Benz introduced a new medium-duty truck that was geared towards a variety of distribution work. Various body styles permitted different tasks of being accomplished. This LP 1513 for example was used to distribute heating oil prior to the winter months.
6-cylinders, 5675cc, 130-horsepower @ 2,800 RPM, 87 km/h top speed



1938 Mercedes-Benz L 6500 Pritschenwagen
In 1935 Mercedes-Benz put the L 6500 on the market as a heavy duty truck. It was equipped with a powerful diesel engine and specifically designed for long distance performance. A three-axle version with an even bigger payload capacity of 10 tons was sold as the L 10,000. The L 6500 had a payload capacity of 6.5 tons. Some examples were used by the Wehrmacht (German Army) during World War II.
6-cylinders, 12,517cc, 150-horsepower @ 1,700 RPM, 57 km/h top speed







1959 Mercedes-Benz LP 333 Pritschenwagen
The LP 333 was popularly referred to as "millipede" because of its two-steered front axles. The additional axle permitted a higher payload capacity and improved the stability of the vehicle.
6-cylinders, 10,809cc, 200-horsepower @ 2,200 RPM, 92 km/h top speed



1912 Benz 3-Ton Truck

This Benz 3-ton truck is a typical truck of the pre-World War I days. It had a chain drive and solid rubber tires. Propeller shafts and pneumatic tires did not see use in trucks unti the 1920s. The Benz trucks were manufactured at the Gaggenau factory, acquired by Benz in 1907 to meet the growing demand for commercial vehicles.
4-cylinders, 6451cc, 45-horsepower @ 1,200 RPM, 25 km/h top speed





1965 Mercedes-Benz L 406 Kastenwagen
The L 406 is a representative of the L 319 van series. Introduced in 1955, the model offered an innovative and ground breaking design that distinguished it from trucks.
4-cylinders, 1988cc, 55-horsepower @ 4,340 RPM, 98 km/h top speed



1994 Mercedes-Benz 508D Kastenwagen
In 1989, the 508D complemented the range of large MB vans launched in 1986. They were entirely adapted to the needs of professional drivers featuring a sound-insulated cab, an ergonomically designed driver's seat and particularly clearly arranged gauges. Pickups, tippers and other special body styles were available for the car.
4-cylinders, 2299cc, 79-horsepower @ 3,800 RPM, 93 km/h top speed



1938 Mercedes-Benz O 10000 "Mobile Postoffice"
The O 10000 saw duty in the 1930s as an urban bus and long-distance coach and impressed people by its very size. The vehicle on show served with the Austrian Postal Service as a parcel truck after World War II on the Salzburg-Vienna route. Later on, it was converted into a mobile post office which saw use at events like the Salzburg Festival or as a temporary post office.
6-cylinders, 11,197cc, 150-horsepower @ 1,700 RPM, 65 km/h top speed










1980 Mercedes-Benz 1624 Autotransporter
The MB 1624, a 16-tonner, was a member of the new generation of medium and heavy duty trucks introduced by MB in 1973. As a car transporter, it was usually combined with a trailer and carried up to 10 midsized cars or 11 small cars. The exhibited 1624 is laden with the last produced W123, C123, W126 and C126 cars from the Sindelfingen factory.
V8, 12,766cc, 240-horsepower @ 2,300 RPM, 98 km/h top speed



1985 Mercedes-Benz 280CE
The 280CE was the most exclusive of the W123 series. It was the forerunner of the modern-day CLK coupes. The exhibited vehicle is virtually fully loaded and was the last 280CE built in Sindelfingen.
6-cylinders, 2746cc, 185-horsepower @ 5,800 RPM, 195 km/h top speed







1985 Mercedes-Benz 230E
The Mercedes 230E was the most popular gasoline-engined model of the W123 series combining efficient fuel economy with spirited performance. Between 1980 and 1985, over 245,000 230E's were produced. The car on display was one of the last 230E's made in Sindelfingen in August of 1985.
4-cylinders, 2299cc, 136-horsepower @ 5,100 RPM, 180 km/h top speed



1985 Mercedes-Benz 380sEL
The 380SEL was a W126 S-Class presented in 1979. These were the first Mercedes to have aerodynamically designed bumpers. Beginning 1981, these were also the world's first production cars to feature an airbag as optional equipment. The model on display was one of the last 380SEL's produced. The facelifted W126 series debutted in 1985.
V8, 3839cc, 204-horsepower @ 5,250 RPM, 210 km/h top speed



1955 Mercedes-Benz Rennwagen-Schnelltransporter
This special high-speed transporter for racing cars was a one-of-a-kind specimen built by the Mercedes-Benz testing department. The racing department used the transporter, also called "Blue Wunder", to chauffeur its racing cars in 1955 - at speeds of up to 170 km/h (106 mph). As the original no longer exists, the vehicle was completely reconstructed with the help of the original documents from the archives.
6-cylinders, 2996cc, 192-horsepower @ 5,500 RPM, 170 km/h top speed

1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SLR Rennsportwagen
Mercedes-Benz won the 1955 sports-car world championship with the 300SLR racing sports car. On display is the first of such vehicles to be built. Its air brake was extended when the brakes were applied at high speed to reduce the straign on the wheels' drum brakes. The car on show saw action at Le Mans and the Swedish Grand Prix.
8-cylinders, 2982cc, 302-horsepower @ 7,500 RPM, 300 km/h top speed

If the road is straight, sure. I don't think this truck will handle very well in medium to extreme corners.
