Personal Review... BMW 750Li

I would like to begin with saying that yes I am a BMW fan but I will try my utmost to maintain the integrity of this review. Firstly, WOW. I was sitting in my house waiting for my ride and i notice a big, black bold and simply eye catching vehicle turn into my driveway. Did someone say the 7 series...

Yep, I'll try to try one... But it mainly is my father that looks for these cars, not me.
However, I sat in the W221 S-Class... Those metal buttons are just so beautiful, that is a car that is brilliantly made! The finition is, from what I've seen, flawless and the better I've ever seen. Metallic buttons, that is something astonishing...

This car MUST HAVE th rear smoked glass!whit normal glass is less attractive...And I have to say that the rims are very ugly and this can easily compromise the global design of the car, specially the Li series..

The 7er feels infinitely spacious. More so than any other big German sedan I've ever sat in. It's a great feeling, similar to the W140 experience I had a few years ago.

Anyway, 7ers are a dime a dozen here because its 3L I6 and its low price are a lethal combination.

Good review BMW-Owner and I absolutely agree that there is nothing "wrong" per se with the car. The interior is definitely amazing and even the exterior doesn't look ugly or japanese in any sense (though this aspect is subjective). I do find the iDrive argument true though. I'm used to the 5 iDrive and I must say that it is just infinitely better to use than the one in the 7. I think I had mentioned this somewhere else and I still stand by it. The one in the 7 is just really horrendous and though I learnt how to use the seat controls really quickly, it is absolutely unnecessarily complicated and I know how people would complain so.

Nice review man. While I admit, it's not an ugly car, it's definitely not the prettiest either. I actually like the rear of the pre-facelift version more. But overall, it's a great car and you can't go wrong with one.

Precisely. IMO, the interior of the new S Class & even elements of the exterior have been copied...this car set the pace in 2002 when it first arrived (U.S.)...now Benz & Audi are trying to keep up I believe. I'm excited to see what BMW will put out next with the upcoming model!!!

I drove one like this last week. I had it for almost 5 days...
For me personally…the ride is way too hard. I guess the fact I drove it around Manhattan for the most part didn’t help because the roads are not very good but anyway..for a luxurious sedan the ride is not very good. I hate that idrive. I usually pick up very quickly on electronic devices but this UI is really…it is not even complicated…it is just confusingly annoying. The central consol is preoccupied with knobs and buttons…it felt almost like the new lexus LS. Interior wise it is far behind the new S. Especially in terms of ergonomics. The new navigations system is much better that the old one! It was upgraded a few days before I got in to it by the local dealer…but sadly…a friend of mine drives a ’07 Nissan Altima and the nav system in there is even better. And it is free…no monthly payments for the service that is.
The drivability of the engine is amazing! I love it.. smooth and responsive. The exterior…I love it. It still looks modern and fresh.
The boot is huge!
Overall…IMO the new S wins in all departments. If I had the money and I was on the market for a luxury sedan I won't even consider this car…it is going to be between the Quattroporte and the S class. I can’t wait for the new 7 too..

Forgot i even wrote this review. I still don't no how iDrive is difficult. For normal driving and what you really need to use when your in motion iDrive is easy. If your driving and going through all the sub menus and trying to find everything then yes its going to be difficult and secondly you shouldn;t be allowed to drive. Most of iDrive isnt designed to be used when your in motion.

Australia roads are near the worst in the world and ride I had was super smooth and very quite? WHat size wheels did the car you drove have? Did i drive a completely different model??? Not even my 5er on 19inch wheels with sports suspension has a rough ride!!!

I do admit but the 7er is terribly out matched by the S Class... Time for a new one!!!!
