Still hoping to try it, my dealer didn't get any test car so far, only already sold.

Order will be finished in next 2-3 weeks, will post details of course.

when we first got the X5 the i drive was a bit complicated to me , but now i really got use to it . bmw can make it easier

Nice review!! About the iDrive comment, to be completely honest, the iDrive in the 5 and the 3 are really easy to use and I guess it would be the same for the X5 as well.
BUT, I've used the iDrive in the pre-facelift 7 and facelift 7 and I must say it is absolutely crap. Even after using the iDrive in the M5 for a very long time I really couldn't understand the way the iDrive in the 7 worked. It was incredibly frustrating to me. The iDrive in the 5 however was absolutely easy to use other than the really sluggish interface.

P.S. I'm someone who is very computer friendly and not a technologically dumb person.

Well to me the Idrive 1.0 & 2.0 are all friendly to use... both are easy .. u just need to get used to it ..

the 1 in the 7er, all about rotating the knob .. to move between sub menus in the "area" of interest .. no need to move the knob to any direction (up/down/right/left)

in the 5, 3 X5 .. u shift between submenus, by layrs ... u have 3 layers .. up middle and bottm .. u need to shift the knob up/down to choose which layer..
