Yes it certanly does. The doors are closing with much more vaultlike style than before. They close the same way that on S class - except on the S they are heavier. They give out a nice thumb sound when they close.

As for the mirrors - too much noise and getting loud at higher speeds. But you just have to get used to that there is no way around this one. But there is a plus, having those big mirrors - when you look into them, what is going on behind and besides you, there is much more area covered than ever before.

Ohhh the looks - constantly. When I drive on the road 7 out of 10 look at the car. And owners of previous C class are looking like crazy.

Are the big mirrors due to some type of new regulation?

Yes they are - I think it's because of pedestrian regulations they have to be designed according to the overall size of the car. I mean even the engine lid is not aluminium anymore - it's some kind of composite of plastic and some other material - so when you hit someone (god forrbid) the hood will try to bounce back the pedestrians body and head.

I know that the Audio 20 isn't that big of a deal but let me tell you it's worth it's money. I have just stored all of my phone contacts in the radio, so now I can just pick them from the drop down menu. And the sound is pretty good too.

Now, I'm going driving since the holidays are here might take this chance to take a nice trip and see how it performs on the longer runs.

Are the rear-seat headrests adjustable at all?

Heh haven't tried that yet, but you can't fold them back anymore that is certain.

Does turning up the stereo eliminate some of the noise or it's still present?


Fifth gear (website) weren't too impressed with the noise from the mirrors either:
