hi, what functions are available with the bluetooth if one doesn't order the phone kit?

Hi,

Without the phone kit you cannot use the buttons on the steering wheel.
i.e. you must phone via your mobile phone. If you have a incoming call you must answer it via your phone but the the call wiil come through the speakers.

Just road tested a W204C 200 Elegance Auto.

Likes:

- Shoulder & head room in front seats
- Higher ride

1-Colour : What was the second colour before buying Black (obsidian ? )

2-Options: your car looks good but it seems to have poor options ! maybe you could wait for C 320 .. with the options could you think they must be ; like Pre-safe, Advanced Agility, Keyless-Go, Big LCD display , Clever Lighting System and you know Sport Pack (AMG) ?

3- I have facelifted W203 and I think allways they are not same car pre-facelifted and facelifted car . after 05 years with Direct Control MB did job well you drivo W203 and which one ?

1 - It was allways black and it will be black in the future.

2 - Options are something that are money related and if you are a Mercedes - Benz driver you know they don't come cheap (at least in EU) and when you tarde in the car they are worth absolutlly nothing. So every one has it's own options those are mine.

3 - I had the W203 facleifted C320 CDI and it was a great car but there where so many problems with it I don't even want to start this. I'll give you just some of them:
- The dashboard was replaced twice because of the fogging from the inside
- The whole rear window had to be replaced because of the bad anttena inside it
- The AC compressor died and they replaced it under warranty but it was from the E class and that led to a whole another series of problems
- Both front lights were replaced because of the spots from inside of the glass
- The exhaust was making funny noises and they couldn't find the solution to it, ...

What phone kit ? What are you talking about ?

You don't need a seperate phone kit - you use a bluetooth connection via radio and YES you can use all of the functions on the sterring whell and also you see all the info on the display in the dashboard.

You CAN make a phone call via sterring buttons, you CAN browse your phonebook via sterring buttons, ... Everything can be done and you don't need a seperate phone kit for it.

GOOD to hear...i was doing the math and adding bluetooth to my current w203 is hella expensive, and im not sure worth it...but if it comes standard...yay!

Ok guys I have decided to exchange my W204 C220 CDI for the V6 C320 CDI.

I have order it and expect to get it in January 2008. I mean it was fun with the C220 CDI but I can't stand the 4 cylinder rattle - I need the fine and calm running of the V6.



So I will update this refview or write up a new one when I get the car and make a little comparison perhaps for all of you new buyers who are in doubt on what to get.

Sweet, can't wait for your review. I haven't driven the new C220 CDI but I have driven a 2005 C220 CDI and the engine rattling is really annoying, I hope the V6 will solve part of the problem because the C-class deserve better engines. Is your new C320 CDI going to have the exact same exterior and interior colour and trim combination as your C220?
