Obviously the person who did this chop thinks that rear wheel arch is going to be a design feature on an upcomming model.

Yes the new CLK will have it too, and it will become a distinctive styling cue of the upcoming MB models (at least from what I read). MB, not MM...
The OCD would be a good MM, if they decide to give MM another chance it would be stupid to brand it MB! And the Maybach was a Benz concept-car, so...
I just hope this new Maybach won't look anything like a Benz... | | | | | Contributor

Can't stand that chop, its awful in every way except for the grille. I don't think we're looking at a new Maybach. Is there a Pullman version of the W221 yet? WCF fans can never get this right, they always say the Bentley Continental Flying Spur sells, but the Phantom doesn't. Do they not realize that the Phantom costs nearly double the price of a Flying Brick? Using the big VW is a poor example too because it is the exception to the rule. The main cars in that segment sell very well, the S, 7 and A8. The giant VeeDub has nothing to do with a Phantom or Maybach, so why mention it? The Phantom does sell well for its intended market segment, i.e. the only other competitor being the Maybach which it outsells easily.

Maybach needs to hire one of the Italian design houses or either hire Brunno Sacco back to do the design. It can't look like another Lincoln-Benz.

M | No please ...lets keep the Italians out of this, their track record with non-Italian luxury brands is not outstanding.
The Maybach 57/62 concept was conceived by DCX's Tokyo Studio ......I want a Maybach to be as German as ree and Christian Wimmer. | | | | | Contributor

I really hope this time Maybach (Mk2) design will differ more from the MB design.
An original Maybach design is needed.
Btw, that chop looks more like 2012 Ssangyong Chairman ... | | | | | Devotee
