Even for a cent you could tell people you were the person who named the new Lexus division "He guys, did you know Lexus was going to call the division "f", but i suggested SPR"

And they ignored me.

SPR is not good. I propose LWPD (=Lexus Wimmer Performance division).

Then we will make it simply W. The W3 will be the rival for M3 , W5 the rival for M5 ect.

That actually sounds pretty good, the use of the letter "W".

But I think people will be confused when you compare the BMW M3 against the Lexus W3. All you have to do is flip the W and it becomes an M.

Deceit works well for the Lexus brand, like when they had an advertisting with a German slogan to make people believe that Lexus are German cars.

I believe there was a time when Lexus used German style ads to sell their cars in America. I wonder if it worked? Bruce, any info on this?

Hmm, it was just about time... I think that such a car, i mean a sporty one, AMG, M, RS competitor, was what the Lexus line-up didn't have up to this point.

Now, with the addition of the "F" series, Lexus has a complete line-up, just like Audi, BMW and Mercedes. I think we will see a very serious "battle" between Lexus and hte Germans the next 5 years. Unless the germans become even better, they will suffer many losses, in brand image and sales numbers.

This time i am impressed by Lexus. Glad to see that they have some people that really use their heads. I wish the rest (not all though) of the car-makers had similar minds working for them...
