has any one asked the question as to what audi gets out off owning lamborghini???

i mean they do own a very luxury sport car company...

i am sure that AUDI is benefiting in other ways than just sales of actual cars... im no expert... but thats my humble view

besides... a lambo is a lambo... an impossible creation... exesive.. and vulgar as hell.. thats just too damm seductive.... and takes over any on looker...

u cant beat having a brand like that... at ur disposal.... better than showing any consept.. in my view

From a business standpoint, the only reason any car company would buy another would be to profit off that company. There can always be a myriad of lesser reasons involved but when it comes right down to it, it all boils down to money. I also think that Lamborghini is benefitting from Audi more so than vice versa although the relationship is definitely symbiotic. Lambos have mouthwatering engines and designs, but Audi has accomplished a level of build quality that Lamborghini never really matched before the takeover, from stories I've heard from Lambo owners of the pre-Audi era. Take all the classical attributes of Lambos, THEN throw in the bank-vault construction ala Audi and you have a grand slam.

u are corect... but i still think u guys dont get the apeal factor of a lambo. the older ones are even more apealng than the new.
also u guys havent factored in the parts factor.. older or newer, a lambo needs parts, and they are always very expensive. so i am sure they make a killing in that area.

having sayed that, i am puzzeled by the recent lambo move to get rid off all there inventory for the older cars. like LM002, countach, and others.
but i am sure that this thread is off topic, and my question is throwing it off even more...
