These are pics of a full-scale mock-up / model?

To me, it seems that on some pics the car isn't full-scale but a smaller model...

That is precisely the problem with it warot - excellent, exactly,......it's too clinical.

Same here if they are going to revive a lengend them might as well add new design element to it but they haven't. To be honest one better save a few 100Gs buy buying the orginial ones since it's more or less the realt hing and looks almost identical to the new one.

I really like it. I like the headlights, the color, the wheels, the exhaust and the overall shape is just awsome. Remember this is just a very incomplete concept so its unlikely the real one will look this fake.

Lamborghini won't build Miura or other retro cars

Lamborghini will not build any retro-themed vehicles in the foreseeable future, according to CEO Stephan Winkelmann. "Retro design is not what we are here for. So we won’t do the Miura, even as a limited edition," Mr. Winkelmann told the U.K.'s Car magazine.

And old designs aren't the only thing the Italian automaker will be leaving in the past. The company also won't resurrect retired nameplates, according to Winkelmann. He said spiritual successors to the the Espada or LM002 could be built, but they would go by new names.

Lamborghini unveiled the Miura concept in January at the Detroit auto show. After its showing, Winkelmann said the Miura could be built in limited numbers as a special edition model. It seems those plans will never materialize.

While Lamborghini teases us with snippets of the all-new model it’ll be taking to the Paris motor show, pictures of a restored icon have been revealed. It’s the Lamborghini Bertone Miura Spyder, a beautiful one-off show car that was crafted forty years ago by Bertone before being revealed to Ferruccio Lamborghini at the 1968 Brussels auto salon.

It was based on a standard Miura Berlinetta, but as an open-top was deemed impossible for production due to chassis issues. After a tour of the year’s motor shows, it crawled off into obscurity.

It has since changed hands several times, until it was bought by a New York property developer in December 2006. They had it fully (and expensively) restored to its original Brussels format of light metallic blue with off-white leather interior. The car had been finished in green when Lamborghini got its hands on it, but the new owner has happily returned it to Bertone’s intended specification.

That rumoured four-door concept has a lot to live up to...
