I agree. I love new things, I got ipod and stuff but I keep it for a longer time because I get used to things and love them. I have my mobile phone for over 2 years. I can afford new one but I don't want to, I love this one!!

me too, i'm a real gadgetfreak. I've got the Ipod, have the vaio laptop and the sony ericsson K750i. All cool stuff and I'm happy to have it. But when I pay such an amount of money for it, I want it to last longer than just the new version. It's such a shame to get rid of those things after a year or less just because something new has come out.

You're totally right!! People that change these gadgets every few months don't appreciate them, they are just 'being-in'' and that's stupid!!!

true, although I do have to admit I did buy my K750i before my old phone, T610i, broke down. Usually I only buy a new phone when it's broken but this little bitch was too damn strong. I was getting bored with it after 3 years and the only serious problem was the joystick. It worked fine otherwise. But it looked horrible with scratches and dents. So I caved in and bought a new toy So normally I'm set for another 3 years

i can say that i kept my previous phone for 4-5 years. I have my new one (Nokia 9300) for 3 months.

Say no to car brands that have laptops. These aren't any better than your regular laptop but you pay some serious cash for it... no thanks.

I'm a gadget freak as well. Had a Vaio laptop (loved it but battery life sucked) until it died. Now have an HP, got an Archos Gmini 400 (I strongly recommend an all in one MP3 player). The list goes on.

Yeah, the only weakness of the vaio is the battery, but what a screen
as for the Ipod, the mini will do just fine, untill it breaks. thank god for warranty, because I'm on my 3rd mini already.

i ussualy like the new things not because there new and hip but just because there functional. for example i have had my motorola razr phone for around 3 months and its great and all besides im on my third one of em but then i saw the new ipod phone and i was like i gotta have on but then i thought about it and decided that it was a waste of money because i already have a ipod
so there is a time where i didnt upgrade but besides that i have mostly new stuff because i cant live without buying they newest and sometimes the greates

What happened to your previous ipods?? I got mine for 10 months and nothing's wrong.
