Yup, looks more like the bastard 21st century offspring of a De Tomaso Pantera than the sublimely exquisite Lamborghini Miura. Blech. Hideous.

Very nice info and I like the rendering although I don't like the fact that the dude used the old rims.

Yeah it does look weird but that's because it's an artistic rendering.

You will never be able to create a car more beautiful than the original Miura - I think they should just forget about it. Let the Miura name be specific to the original - everybody loves the original Miura, it's so attractive, so classic, you just can't recreate perfection.

As for that Phaeton, VW should quit while they're ahead, The Phaeton has been a failure, why don't they just drop the whole idea. IMO a five door hatch would almost certainly be a disastrous mistake - would anyone here want one?

Re: Lamborghini Miura. - 12-11-2005, 05:29 PM

The Miura was a very beautiful car, hand down. But you know how those manufacturers are, they allways want to recreate those beautiful classics into a modern version. If the Lambrghini design team aren't too crazy with the pen the car can turn out to be very beautiful and successful as the SLR. I'm not saying that the SLR is as beautiful as the Gullwing but it did turn out to be eyes candy. That shows that it is possible to recreate a classic if you have a very good design team.

Sure, I know what you mean Luw, but why can't they create a new model with it's own name - a car that could be as much a classic of our time that the Miura is to the 1970's.

Well they have allready created a beautiful new car, the Gallardo . I guess they are cowards. They really could just take one of those spaced out models made by student and turn the car into a reality. Some how I feel that Lamborghini well do a very good job with the Muira and I really hope that it isn't too similar to the Gallardo and Murc. I want it to be unique and mind blowing like the SLR.

That new pS looks alot better.. but still abit on the tame side..it should be more aggresive..or maybe not.. cause the miura was more beautiful than aggresive imo..
