Question Japanese Wall of Weird: The Many Concepts of the Tokyo Auto Show

I don’t usually do a thread for the Tokyo auto show since there is rarely more than one or two significant new car release. Tokyo is usually more about concept that never will see the light, and plenty of them.

Although this year, I’ve noticed that the concepts are getting wackier and wackier with every press release…. So without further ado, here are some of the weirder ones!

How cool is that Daihatsu Mud Master C-Concept? It's like urban mini-SUV meets Unimog. Frikken cool - Mozambique here I come!

Agh, I got picture sand in my shoe!

Really - that mud master looks really, really cool. It seems completely purpose-built, kinda like a modern passenger train. There's not much honesty in car design lately, so I find this totally refreshing.

I think Toyota's "chair" is kinda neat too. It's the must-have toy for every supervillan.
