| Nissan GT-R (Official pics & info) -

It's been one of the most previewed and hotly anticipated new performance cars in history, and now Nissan's pre-lauch campaign for the GT-R super-coupe takes another step forward with the release of this teaser image.
This is the first look at Nissan's new Porsche 911 Turbo-fighter they've given us so far (allbeit a dark and enigmatic one), and as a profile of the new car, clearly shows its macho, blistered front and rear wheel-arches.
Meanwhile, the countdown to the unveiling of the Nissan GT-R, on press day at the Toyko motor show, continues; as this story was written, there were 18 days, 19 hours and 31 minutes before that debut. Come back to Autocar.co.uk on October 24 for first pictures of the new Nissan GT-R, and on October 25 to watch our exclusive Tokyo motor show video

On a car of that caliber, one would expect those huge door creases off of the front fender to be the end-part of a cooling system for the brakes. | | | | | Executive

After months of spy shots and drip-fed teasers Nissan’s all new GT-R super-coupe has been revealed with the early release of the December issue of MotorTrend. The tagline on the magazine’s cover claims the car is as fast as the Porsche 911 Turbo and is priced less than $80,000, confirming rumors the new GT-R will set a new standard in bang-for-your-buck comparisons. Other details include the GT-R’s acceleration time of 3.5 seconds for the 0-60mph and 11.7 seconds for the quarter mile. Top speed is claimed to be a staggering 192mph.
Although we still don’t have any official details about the car’s new drivetrain, most are expecting to see a 3.8L V6 engine fed by a pair of turbochargers and mated to a dual-clutch gearbox with the latest ATESSA all-wheel drive setup. The car should measure in at 4,650mm in length and 1,920mm across. There’s rumored to be three different flavors of the new GT-R, starting with a 450hp entry-level model and ranging up to a 530hp flagship. This latter version is expected to be a stripped out racer with plenty of carbon-fiber and a track-tuned suspension.
Stay tuned for the flood of official details and images once the car is revealed at next week’s Tokyo Motor Show. - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER

It's looking good! Seems to have made the transition from concept(s) to finished product pretty much unscathed. In fact, despite some of the cooler details of the concept being omitted (such as those nice headlights and carbon fibre frontal detailing) I'd say that the production GT-R looks every bit as good as the concept - if not better!
Those blackened a-pillars and that fantastic roofline - masterful. | | | | | Me for President

Not even a thanks? You are avaricious, aren't you, Martin?
j/k...
I have no words to describe this car, it's simply perfect (?)!
I'm not a fan of that roofline, not my type, but who gives a $h!t for it? Just look at those numbers!
Haha, i'm so glad that this car will annihilate F430, both performance and looks wise for only 80k! Eat that, Screwderia!
