Arrow Lexus Picture Thread

As I promised, I've created a Lexus picture thread. I know we have very few Lexus fans on the board, but I know Mirage77 was pretty impressed with the LS460 and Cawimmer was impressed by the GS series.

Starting of with my favourites, the LS, SC, IS and GS. I just love the new LS, it's my executive saloon of choice. I'm going to leave out the LS430, SC430, ES300/350 and RX because i never much cared for them. Of course, if you have pictures of them (or any) feel free to post them.

*LS models for starters, i will follow with the SC, GS and IS models later tonight.

LS460/LS460L - 2006

LS400 - 2000 model

Super car, but not as good as the one below it

LS400 - 1997 model

^^This version was even better than the one that followed it.

GS450h - 2006 Model

Pictures don't do this car justice in my opinion

Group Shots

Re: Lexus Picture Thread

Excellent idea, 7.3.

I've moved my Lexus thread to this section. I figured Japanese cars belong here and they'll get more exposure in this section by random forum dwellers.

I am impressed with the GS as well as the new LS. All other Lexus models just don't do it for me I am afraid. I won't get into detail but it is mostly from a design POV. Cars like the SC430 for example are a styling disaster IMO. No offense.

The one older Lexus I really like is the original LS400. IMO, that Lexus will one day become a classic since it was the starter of the brand and a revolutionary car in its own way during the early 1990s (or late 1980s).

No offense taken, because i think the SC430 is one of the worst designs ever made A terribly ugly, bloated whale, i much prefer the earlier SC400 (my dad had one) I also dislike the LS430, the RX300/350/400h & the last two generations of ES.

Re: Lexus Picture Thread

My mother's friend has had about 3-4 LS models and before that he owned both Mercedes and BMW flagships and in his opinion the Lexus is superior to them all.

He has been invited to testdrive the new S so if he decides to go he promised that he'll take me with him

The new LS460 looks good but is nothing compared to the S in that departement.

I'm quite undecided on that factor, i feel like LS460, S550 and A8 all equally appeal to me in terms of exterior.

Re: Lexus Picture Thread

The SC400/SC300: Very hard to find photos of it

The SC has one of the best designed interior's of all time, superb quality, design and ergronomics

Re: Lexus Picture Thread

Thanks for all the good work!

The LS460L is my chauffeur-driven choice car... There's absolutely no other alternative in my mind at the moment. But for a car I would want to drive on my own, it's the Germans without a doubt. While the German cars will make you have a hard time choosing whether to drive or to sit at the back, the LS460L focuses its energies into pampering the back seat passenger and I really like that.

CAR-NNOSSEUR has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Re: Lexus Picture Thread

I've been impressed with Lexus vehicles for some time now, I can honestly say that Lexus belongs in the same catergory as the 3 major German brands. The LS 460L is in amazing vehicle, & I'd prefer to be a back seat passenger in it over the A8L W-12 as well as the S65 AMG!

Even if the LS460 is chauffeur type of vehicle. i'd still buy it for everyday use and drive it myself. My dad had one of the older generation LS models and he drove it all the time, sure it wasn't a "driver's" car, but it was never meant to be. He loved the comfort he brang him at all times, especially on the highway. So as it stands, for a pure luxury car i'm going with the LS460, for something that mixes luxury and sport i'd either go with a E63 AMG or a B7 RS4

P.S. I'm glad to see my thread get lots of replies, thanks guys!
