"Just received the Feb issue of Motor Trend featuring a german car shoot-out between the E63 AMG, BMW M5 SMG, & Audi S6. Here are the performance figures for the three:

They also tested the 3 at Buttonwillow Raceway Parks East Loop. The M5 was the quckest here.

M5 58.66 seconds
S6 58.76 seconds
E63 60.06 seconds

The writing was pretty weak in my opinion, nothing very insightful. They did mention the smallish size of the tires was holding the E63 back at the track.

Final results-

1. Audi S6
2. BMW M5
3. E63 AMG

Well, well, well......how things can change from magazine to magazine. Now the S6 comes first and the E63 comes in last place. Don't you love this??

The S6 is obviously the slowest car in a straight line, by a pretty big margin. But it certainly did very well around a short tight track, being only 0.1 second behind the M5, while the E63 was a full 1.4 seconds behind the M5.

With the S6 this good I can scarcely imagine what the RS6 can do.

im a little confused here which car magazine to bellive.

The one you believe has the most credibility. IMO, the only reputable magazine that's tested all three cars against one another is CAR magazine, and that was some time ago, don't even remember what the results were now.

I hope EVO or SCI runs a test on the three sometime soon. We do know however that a future issue of SCI will include both tests of the C6 S6 & D3 S8.
