No wonder 3 series is faster with only 6,0 kgr/hp. Passat is too heavy with 1710 kgr (!!!). Without the 4Motion it would had better chance of winning the comparison.
Overall according to my opinion 330 and Passat would tie for the first place. Passat has much more interior room and trunk space while 330i is sportier and faster. Built quality is a bit better in the BMW but Passat is cheaper (better value for money). So overall i would say that the two cars are equally good.

its a sport sedan test with the key word and emphasis on the word "sport". thats why Passat didnt come on first place, if it was other criterias Passat would have chance to do better.
Audi would also do better than PAssat if it was in this test since they often are more sportier than Passat IMO.

The Passat may not be a sports sedan in the manner of these cars here in this comparo, but here in the U.S. it is without a doubt the best family sedan you can buy. It outright shames most of the Japanese competition and humuliates the American and Korean entries.

Yes you are right. Who needs 330i and Passat when you can have that wonderful Mazda.

The thing is, the 330i acceleration isn't exactly crushing the competition, however on a track it definately is numero uno. Guess chassi tuning really is that good.

I'm satisfied with the Passat's performance.

It more than makes up in other practical aspects as others have mentioned here.

We already have the test results, Yannis. We don't need your rearranging or excuses on the outcome...
