I think Audi is actually being very clever in not going directly after BMW but rather doing their own thing. The S6 is cheaper and has less power than the M5, while the RS6 will be more expensive and have more power than the M5, so neither will be a direct competitor. S cars are fine for those who want a car that's fast but not too flashy, and also don't care about stuff like bragging rights. |

It doesn't take a genius to figure out that the M5 would win this comparison. The S6 and E63 AMG are hardly M5 competitors at heart. Their qualities lie elsewhere.  |
