Nothing short of astounding. Keep in mind, the Z06 has a MSRP around $65k.

Re: C&D: Z06 vs. F430 vs. 997TT

Like I said, MSRP. It's still an arm and a leg, but it's an astonishing level of performance you get for said arm and leg.

No taxes in the USA, other than regular sales taxes

Re: C&D: Z06 vs. F430 vs. 997TT

The quickest car around the track came in last in the comparison test.....just goes to show that the fastest isn't always the "best" in some people's (magazine's) eyes. This feels like the E63 "winning" against the faster M5 in the recent Auto Motor Und Sport.

I can see the Corvette guys getting angry with this result.....the perceived lower status of the Corvette compared to Porsche and Ferrari undoubtedly contributed to this conclusion.

Re: C&D: Z06 vs. F430 vs. 997TT

I think the vetter automatically has a disadvantage in the eyes of many automotive journalists because of its humble badge. But you cannot deny the raw driving ability of the Corvette. This is one of the few American cars currently in production that I respect. Though lacking in some quality and interior build aspects, it is no doubt a bargain in terms of sheer performance. Its not even a bad looking car either, but the competition is also amazing.

This is a tough comparo, but I would take the Porsche as the most usable and versatile car. Though the Ferrari is probably the sexiesit.

Look at those 0-60 times btw, that Turbo is posting Supercar times, imagine what the GT2 is going to pull, plus the track performance.
