nothing wrong with the look of the 5er, add the sportkit and it look even better.

In your opinion, I disagree obviously. It doesn't look like anything next to the A6 or E-Class, IMO. The M kit does make it look better though.

E-class is looking GOOOOOOOOOOOOD.

If you read the test results and the conlcusion its clearly stated the brakes are what stopped the E-class from taking top honours. The rating for the brakes was extremely poor. I wonder what the problem with them was? They have dropped the SBC brakes, so surely they should be ok?

The Audi was not at all penalised for its much higher fuel consumption, which makes no sense to me since they did give it extra points for its performance advantages. This was unfair to both the BMW and Benz which are both much lighter drinkers.

Also, they do mention that the impressive new innovations launched on the E-class, i.e. intelligent lights, pre-safe, neck-pro etc. were not considered in their final evaluation.

Finally, for you E-class design bashers ( ), If you look at the survey on the last page the E-class design is clearly the most preferred (lower points indicating a higher rating). Now don't go and give it a poor review just to change the results so far.

I also think that the E class looks the "oldest" if that makes sense. The design isn't that far away from the previous generation, so that's why it looks older than the other 2. Or maybe people are complaining because it's the most conservative looking, I don't know.

How is it that the warranty in Germany is so bad for BMW? In the States, you are really taken care of, better so than Benz and Audi. Why such a big difference?

Last but not least. While everyone is complaining back and fourth about the looks of the cars, is no one raising an eyebrow over the fact that the Audi is a V6 versus 4 cylinder engines?

The design of the W211 E-Class isn`t ment to be that far away from the W210 E-Class. I remember when Mercedes went to design the W211 thay sent out surveys about the design. a lot of customers said thay wanted an evolutionary design off the W210 E-Class. Remember, the W124 E-Class was on the market for a good 9 years before the W210 broke ground with a totally different design. The fold of Mercedes don`t like drastic changes in design. Design must be slow to change and when change comes it must be evoultionary. This is what the customer demands.
