I don't know about the RS6, I'm still a little agitated that it will be a one year run , limited production model; S6 is a waste, IMO. I look forward to its arrival none the less.

In europe it came 2003 (I just checked sales in Sweden), as usually US got the bimmer a little bit after.

yeah man.. audi are abit wierd..if they make the RS6 so late that there is only 1 year left until the new A6 comes..then its pointless imo.. the new E amg will be soon to come and the M5 around the corner..
and they will probably have a damn hefty price to..
the RS4 is 730k swedish.. and if they follow that the RS6 cant be less than 930K.. thats waaaaay to much

RS6 should not even be considered its in a different class...seeing the price difference in the rs4 and m3 the RS6 will surely be priced well above the m5...plus its all about product timing BMW knows whats going on...they let the competion catch up and then once again raise the bar...the e39 was revolutionary when it came out and same with the e60 m5...
The rs4 raises the bar but at a $20000 premium over its 'competitors', thus it can hardly be seen in the same light as the m3...and thus at its price point the new m3 will mos def set the new standard

i guess history will continualy repeat itself but its the truth

well how ever you twist and turn it ..the competition is stiff.. and imo you cant sit on one modell and claim that you are the king ..
the M5 has been out 2 years now approx.. well thats it.. now most likely the E63 will be able to beat it.. and it still has like atleast 4years left..
its not like before when BMW made a m car.. and it was almost impossible to beat until it was more or less out of production.. those times are over my friend..

To be honest I don`t believe the M company needs chassie upgrades.
The BMW M5 is pretty much the standard by which the others are measured.

However a slight power increase or a mild cosmetic change wouldn`t hurt to keep things fresh during mid-life.

man the m5 is just so awsome and the e63 is just not that special when you compare it...nothing shouts at you with the e63...the m5 engine is more special, tranny, chassis, driving dynamics...its a more special car...if your an older guy maybe the e63 is the car for you but the m5 is mos definately still king...its the truth

it just seems like the ///m recieves praises left and right for being a true drivers car...and the e class amg....the e63 won't change anything

The E63 hasn`t been tested yet. Thats why I asked for your predictions. I wouldn`t pass performance judgements just yet.

BMW can always make the sport setting stiffer. If it doenst happen well then the owner has to go to tuner because they have stiffer suspension available for the M5.
As I said (and Artist), the competition is getting tighter and you cant go claiming forever that M5 is the ultimate driving machine if the competition pass it in that area. So personally I hope MB make the E63 a great performer so they put pressure on BMW.
