![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | So the Alpina has more horsepower, greater torque, a lower total weight, and even wins the 100km/h and 200km/h standing-start sprints, yet the way the Jag's gearing is calibrated seems to be the reason why it edged-out the Alpina around the track. Just have a look at how much quicker the Jag's 5th and 6th gears are! Finally all these numbers are starting to make sense to me. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Well I've driven the 5 series (not the Alpina B5 though) and I liked it. On the other hand, I've always hated the beaver look and that extra piece on the headlight has annoyed me since the car first came out (thank god the new model won't have that well at least thats what I gather from the spy shots). The Jaguar looks are more too my liking. So I would probably go with the Jaguar.

Now compare these two with the M5: 80-120 km/h (4./5./6./7. Gang) 4,4 s /6,3 s /9,2 s / - s 4,3 s /6,8 s /10,7 s / - 4.3 s /5.8 s /7.2 s/9.3 s/ M5 has 520NM but pulls better than these two cars which both have Kompressor and a lot of torque! Last edited by Karabiner98k; 11-05-2009 at 09:23 AM. | |
