Wow, in this test the exterior of the Audi and BMW are really a blast from the past. The BMW now really looks its age and the Audi is even worse.

In terms of looks the new 5er and A6 can't come soon enough!

Check out the front overhang of the 5er and A6 compared to the Merc. I know the Audi has it`s engine positioned ahead of the front axle because it`s designed primarily to be a front driver. With the current 5er this looks like a design issue from the past.

From the comparison.

• 5-serie is still with better driving dynamics, better handling, higher slalom speed and the steering feedback is the best.
  
  
• E-class and 5-serie both score equally in "Seat comfort in front" but BMW scored better in "Seat comfort in the back". E-class had the softest suspension and got more points for it.
  
  
• Regarding I-drive vs MMI vs Command, they wrote all three are now easy to operate but they think I-drive is a little bit better and gave more points to BMW in this area. Not bad, going from being the worst to one of the best system. Kudos to BMW for finally fixing the errors. Better late than never

Still not enough to win though.

I wonder how the next 5er will compare to the current one. Something tells me it will be slightly softer.

Still can keep with anyone - kudos; my car - my choice.

E looks ugly and crap, Audi is...Oh well...Audi... Better than E, IMO, in every possible way, except front.

E has the best front and that's about it...

I still don't understand all the fuss about the E interior, the A6 one looks better and even fresher and the 5er doesn't even look old compared to it.

Seriously now,the E interior is elegant yet sporty and i won't even talk about the quality,heck dare i even say that's on par with 7er interior in terms of quality!
