Tough between the S600 and 760Li,
but by the pictures and the color choices shown here,
the S600 is justifiably better looking IMO,
and as a result, gets my vote here.

peterleo is on a distinguished road
As many here have already pointed out, choosing between the S Class and 7 Series comes down to what you prefer a car to be.
If comfort, quietness and long relaxing drives listening to soft music being detached from the world around you is what you like, then you'll choose the S Class.
If you don't mind sacrificing a bit of comfort for the benefit of driving dynamics, if you enjoy having a better feeling of the road up your back and the sound of the engine is all the music you need, then you'll take the 7 Series.
I don't think it's the case of one being better than the other, they're just 2 different interpretations of the same theme.
In my case, for my driving style, I'll take the 7 series.
If Xdrive will become an option for the 760i, I'll buy one the second they launch it. But still, I think that the S Class is one beautiful, elegant, brilliant piece of German engineering.
My vote went to the 7er

I've driven many a BMW yet NONE handles better than my MB. To me, the S-Class rules by miles... Comfort, Handling Steering Ride Feel, Yaw, EVERYTHING... But that's just Me.

This segment isn't about handling. Most pople that buy these cars car about quality, comfort, features, and overall performance, not sheer handling numbers which is Mercedes has ruled this segment for so long.

I can easily see why one would pick the BMW though.

Audi is once again the odd duck here. It neither rides like the Benz or handles like the BMW. That is pretty much Audi's delima in general, stuck between two very identifiable and established standards of luxury.

760Li. The engine is a technological tour the force, and will be proven to be unmatched by any other V12. The interior in absolutely mindblowing too, and I just love the 7er exterior. Second would be the FL S600, which has become a prettier car with the facelift. The A8 is just ancient now, and that interior almost looks like a joke compared to either the S or 7er....a relic from the past in terms of design; those door panels for example look the same as a Seat Exeo

(just a q, not a diss)

What exactly is different in the interior of the S600 over the S500 other than that V12 logo? I am no MB expert so I am not sure....??? That extra piece of wood on the center console appears to be standard on all models after the FL...

^the ribbed door upholstry is one thing, nappa leather is another..
Full wood steering wheel, devided back seat, tables in the rear..
ambient lighting, and what i think looks like a V12 logo in the seats..
as you can see some of these things can be orderd on lesser S classes for a price..
and some are V12 exclusive..

The seats, the leather for starters on what I can see from the FL.
