Well, the tests will correct me if I'm wrong but it doesn't really seem that MB was actually aiming to make an M5-clone that beats it in handling and overall sportiness. Rather they've probably chosen the same path as with the W212 in general, going back to the roots. Monumental power with world-famous MB luxury feel is what AMG is about (especially in the case of the E-Class AMG-model).

It doesn't matter how the new E63 drives. It still doesn't have a 8250 rpm engine. M5 has and that's what makes it more special in my eyes.

your probably right the M5 will still be the better handling car..
but dont underestimate..AMG is going in a new direction look at the C63..
and the M5 is afterall 1 gen behind..
I dont remember what the E55 did to the old M5..
but now AMG are way more focused than back then..

doesnt matter, I will always prefer highreeving engines over torque. M5 and M3 V8 are the last true M cars for me. BMW are turning into AMG.
