Oh no!

DR are far from being biased, they don't idiotically praise the hell out of British cars when they are obviously inferior to their German and Italian nemesis s,plus the lay out is awesome

M6 looks sharper with the new hood, but R8 would be my preference. I wonder if they offer a 'no speed limit' option for M6, it was kicking the turbo in that drag race at higher speeds till the limiter kicked in.

As far as I know there is an option to raise the topspeed to 305km/h for M5/M6.

Interesting that you don't give the same kudos to EVO when DR is actually an online experience in the same pioneering spirit as EVO was (and is) in print. Jethro Bovingdon was Deputy Editor and Richard Meaden Editor-at-large at EVO before they left to try something new with Chris Harris from Autocar. So there's actually a close connection between the two (Meaden was a founding member of EVO) and you couldn't get more similar opinions and styles between two publications if you tried.

Oh, and 911 Turbo with a manual for me too please.

I only managed to get my drive in an M6 just months ago.

And the overriding impression was I that I was sat behind one of the truly greatest engines ever made. I have never ever felt an engine haul ass like it does in the upper rev-range. SMG III wasn't as "tight-feeling" as SMG II in M3 CSL interestingly.

Ja, it's actually a crying shame. The S85 is due to be binned in favour of a turbo'd V8 after only a single term in one generation of vehicles and, all the while, coupled exclusively* with the SMG III transmission. Imagine the S85 paired with M-DCT? Sadly, we'll never see the day but what I can say is this: if you can afford to buy any one of the last of the normally aspirated M models, you'll do well because in each of them is a special keeper that deserves to spend the remainder of its life in the care of a true enthusiast.

God, I wish I could afford an M3.
